It’s not easy to get that lean, sexy body everyone envies. It takes focus and knowledge. You surf the diet aisle at the store looking for protein bars, meal replacement products, and other health food that you just have to lose weight with, but somehow you still aren’t seeing results. You may have been tricked into being fat.
Many of these so-called health foods are nothing more than disguised junk food. For all the chemical refinements made in the diet and health industry, obesity is more rampant in the country than ever before.
Yes, some of these items have the correct ratio of macronutrients, but what does it matter if the chemicals that made it that way change your biochemistry in such a way that that ratio is no longer helpful?
It’s not just the advertised health items that have been subjected to this scourge. More common items have been reduced in fats, carbohydrates, or whatever else is needed to match it up with the latest fad diet. No matter what diet you’re trying to get on, these chemically-altered foodstuffs are not an improvement.
As a rule of thumb, the closer an item is to its natural state the better it is for you. However, we’ve been hooked by convenience foods, able to go from microwave to mouth in five minutes or less. As busy people, who among us wouldn’t want to spend less time in the kitchen preparing our meals? The problem is, usually the faster it is for us to make, the more processed it is. This processing degrades any original nutritional value and adds gobs of additional calories that are belied by the size of the items.
Not one of us got the memo when this sort of artery-clogging behavior started being introduced to our food supply. It was only when the clothing began getting tight that we started reading labels. Not that this does much good unless you’re an organic chemist as anyone who has ever tried to Okinawa Flat Belly Tonic pronounce the names of some of the ingredients can attest to.
These things considered, your gradually increasing waistline may not be your fault. Usually the information in the diet industry focuses on the big three macronutrient ratios, keeping these chemicals in the shadow as to avoid collapsing in on itself.
There is one thing you can do to break away from this destructive behavior, and it will make more of a difference than any thousand other workout or diet plans. Never again will losing weight be complicated and leave you wondering.
The Golden Rule
Eat only foods in their natural state. If you can follow this rule I can almost guarantee that you’ll start dropping large amounts of fat quickly. The reason it works so well is that the foods you take in maintain the highest levels of nutrients, despite how low the calorie density is. Without the chemicals to mess with your body’s biochemistry you will notice a much higher level of energy throughout the day, allowing you to get in whatever physical activity you want without much resistance.
It may be hard to break from your old eating habits as the chemicals you’ve been unknowingly consuming through the years can be addicting, but if you can, it will make worlds of difference in your physique in record time.
