Galvanized roofing sheet is commonly used in USA and Canada to strengthen roof materials and prevent corrosion due to moisture exposure. This product has many application such as galvanized roof panels, shingles, gables and much more. There are four main types of Galvanized roofing sheet. The four types are;

Galvanized steel sheet: Galvanized steel sheet is the basic material used for galvanized roofing. It consists of two different metals that when combined create an all-purpose coating which can effectively resist corrosion and offer a longer lifespan to the underlying structure mai ton dep. The types of metals used include; galvanized iron; galvanized steel; wrought iron and steel alloys.
Zinc coated sheet: Zinc coating is also included in galvanized steel sheet. As its name suggests, zinc coating is used to protect and cover steel elements. Its purpose is to protect from corrosion and oxidation caused by moisture, temperature changes, and direct sunlight exposure. Other reasons include increased ability to conduct heat, thermal noise reduction, easy cleaning, and rust removal. Some of the best materials that have been added to zinc coated Galvanized roofing are; polyester, fiberglass, epoxy and steel wool.
Hot dip galvanized: Hot dip galvanized sheet is also known as Stainless Steel Galvanized Roofing. As the name suggests, it uses hot-dip galvanization, which is a type of galvanization where hot metal ions are attracted to the surface of the metal object being galvanized. As a result, the metal object is protected from any damage caused by water or moisture. This is the best protection against corrosion because water and moisture never make contact with stainless steel. It offers the highest level of protection of all types of Galvanized roofing.
Galvanized Corrugated Roofing: Galvanized corrugated roofing is available in different thicknesses. The various thicknesses range from six millimeters to two inches. Thicker corrugated roofing has higher durability compared to thinner ones. For better results, you can use two inches and six millimeter thicknesses for the corrugated roofing. If you want, you can even use three inches and eight millimeter thicknesses for better results. However, the thicker the thickness of your corrugated roofing, the more expensive it becomes.
Galvanized Iron sheet: There are different manufacturers who offer Galvanized Iron sheet at different price. The price ranges from $90 to thousands of dollars. The thickness of galvanized iron sheet is measured in millimeters. The higher the thickness, the better it is, but the more expensive. You can choose any thickness up to one and a half inches.
